Where’s your favorite place in the world?
Venice, Italy

If you could be any animal, which would you be?
A wolf

What’s your favorite movie?
Superbad

What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done?
Me and my friends snuck in to The Therme Vals by Peter Zumthor in Switzerland while it was under construction.

Who would you most like to swap places with for a day?
Elon Musk

What drew you to Miller Hull?
The fact that you guys have been the leader in sustainability and really designing for the place and not just designing in general. Since I went to the University of Oregon, Miller Hull’s name has always been thrown around in our classes. The Bullitt Center gets pulled up in all our classes and we always get to talk about it.

What does a day look like for you?
I usually get a cappuccino from the espresso machine, then check emails, work on graphics…a lot of graphics, depending on the project team. I didn’t build a lot of models, but the biggest one I built was for the UCSD Triton pursuit. My typical day is usually spent on graphics. I particularly like doing isometric axon drawings.

Is this internship what you were expecting? Why or why not?
Yeah, I think it’s met my expectations in terms of the workload and what I’m required to do, but you can’t really predict how friendly everyone was going to be. It’s been really nice to come into a good sense of community.

What has been your favorite part of the internship so far?
I would say DP in general. And then working on a project team for a while was cool because that was the first time I did something architectural apart from graphics.

What has been the most challenging?
Maintenance for the coffee machine.
