Congratulations to Anton Dekom for receiving the AIA Seattle Committee Award as co-chair of the AIA Seattle Committee on Homelessness for 2019! The AIA Seattle Committee on Homelessness mobilizes architects to help our unsheltered neighbors in the Puget Sound through advocacy, education and service. Throughout the year, the committee partners with community organizations to provide direct direct volunteer service and architectural expertise.
Anton is a project architect at Miller Hull and has served as co-chair for the Committee on Homelessness since it was established in 2017. As a fierce advocate for people experiencing homelessness, he volunteers with many other organizations and individuals that are working toward a dignified solution to one of the most difficult and complicated challenges facing the Puget Sound region, including Mighty House, Facing Homelessness and Rebuilding Together.
