SAN DIEGO (Oct. 1, 2019) — Miller Hull is thrilled to announce the addition of Katie Popolow to our San Diego studio in her new role as managing principal. Katie is an integral part of the work we do out of both our studios and we are excited to see her talent expand in Southern California.

Katie’s 30 years of industry experience have resulted in a diverse skillset and portfolio. Since joining Miller Hull in 2000, she has managed teams for a wide variety of project types where people live, work, learn, gather and serve.

Over the course of her career, Katie has also gained an immense understanding of delivery methods, including construction manager at risk, design-build and progressive design-build. Her knowledge in this area has made her a leader in the both design and construction community, serving on the DBIA National Membership/Regional Development Committee and as membership chair for the DBIA Northwest Region from 2016 to 2018. Katie is currently serving as vice president of the DBIA Northwest Region and will be the incoming president starting in June 2020.

“Miller Hull has been my home for two decades and the place where I’ve built my career,” she said. “I am excited for this next chapter supporting our team in creating beautiful, healthy and sustainable projects out of our San Diego studio.”

Katie was promoted to principal in 2014 and has become a valuable part of our firm leadership. Her new role as managing principal alongside Design Principal Ben Dalton provides the expertise and direction that will expand our future in San Diego.
