Principal Elizabeth Moggio will be discussing “Stories of Fulfillment in Progressive Design-Build: The Opposite of “Quiet Quitting,”” at the 2024 DBIA Northwest Conference.
It’s a pretty simple equation: high performing teams design and build better, more valuable projects and have fun doing it. When it comes to why, “fulfillment” is a major factor. Team members who find fulfillment in their project work are more engaged and create better solutions than a person who finds themselves unfulfilled by their work. Of all the project delivery models, design-build is uniquely suited to bring fulfillment and all its benefits to the project team and, ultimately, the project. This presentation will dive into the unique fulfillment opportunities progressive design-build offers, how to capitalize on and leverage those opportunities, and what owners, builders, designers, subconsultants, and trade partners see as clear benefits of a highly fulfilled project team.
Elizabeth will be joined with other panel members including: Laura DeGooyer with the Lake Washington School District, Ty Thorton with Lease Crutcher Lewis, Ina Holzer Assoc. DBIA with the Lake Washington School District, Puja Kashyap PE with KPFF, and Seamus Kelly with Mithun.
From the big ideas to the execution of every small detail, people can create great things with one another. It’s what Elizabeth describes as a “fundamentally human adventure.” “As architects, we are natural dreamers, helping people to look to the future and create a new space that has never existed.” With this mindset comes an unbridled…
