Tets Takemoto

AIA, Associate

Seattle Studio

Tets has travelled all over the world observing how different cultures use design and construction in unique ways. “Architecture has taken me from eastern Washington to the east coast, to the oases of Abu Dhabi, to the jungles of Malaysia, and back to the Pacific Northwest.”

Through these travels, he has observed how architecture informs the way people interact with one another, and whether a person has a positive or negative reaction to a space depends on how they and their interaction with others are affected. He brings this perspective to a diverse range of projects such as civic spaces, mixed-use, hospitality, academia and libraries, to building types from adaptive reuse to new high-rise developments.

As a skilled Project Manager and Architect, Tets enjoys bringing the larger conceptual approach to fruition. He appreciates the nuts and bolts of how the project is constructed while also ensuring the final project delivers on the intended design.
