Yucatán continues to generate confidence for the arrival of new capital, such as the private investment projects in real estate and tourism in the Vía Montejo development, which were announced this day by Governor Mauricio Vila Dosal and which, together, represent an investment of 4,565 million pesos, as well as the creation of more than 3,500 jobs, between direct and indirect.
Accompanied by the director of Inmobilia Desarrollos, Roberto Kelleher Vales and the Consul General and Chief Official of the United States in Mérida, Courtney Beale, the Governor led the presentation of 3 projects to be carried out in said complex, which are to promote economic reactivation of Yucatan and reaffirm it as a competitive and accurate site for attracting investments that generate jobs in the face of the complicated economic scenario that is being experienced.
The projects are as follows:-The construction by Inmobilia Desarrollos de la Torre Dos which, through an investment of 820 million pesos, will have eight levels, one commercial and the rest for offices. In addition, it will include common areas, a ground floor lobby, high-speed elevators, a service elevator and green areas.
This project contemplates the generation of 1,445 jobs for the benefit of Yucatecan families.- Construction of the Hyatt Place hotel of the 4-star “-Service” segment, which is aimed at national and foreign tourism and means an investment of 745 million pesos will be completed in 2022. The generation of 1,015 new jobs will be promoted, between direct and indirect, for its construction and operation.
The hotel will have 142 rooms, combining the spectacular views of Via Montejo, with executive amenities such as business center, swimming pool, restaurant bar, meeting rooms, terrace, gym, among others. It will have a state-of-the-art hospitality center, devised as the banner of post-Covid hotel planning. This building, in its design, consisted of a meticulous care in the planning of the rooms, amenities and common areas, so that it is ready to face the new normal.- The construction of the new facilities of the Consulate General of the United States of America in Mérida. It is the Miller Hull Partnership and BL Harbert International firms who, in coordination with local companies, will make an investment of 3,000 million pesos, thus creating 1,093 jobs, mostly for locals.
This building is projected to be completed by 2023 to become the new diplomatic headquarters. This complex is oriented to provide a larger, more modern and secure space in order to provide better visa service and attention to US citizens throughout the Yucatan Peninsula.
According to the plans, these facilities will be at the forefront of architecture, design, engineering, technology, sustainability, art, culture and execution of US construction.
