Casey spends most of his time helping people, and he loves it. He thinks of himself as an educator/mentor, always striving to give other people the chance to succeed. As Miller Hull’s Building Information Modeling (BIM) manager, Casey consistently advises staff on digital collaboration, software, and where technology and the design process intersect. He has also been an ACE (Architecture, Construction, Engineering) mentor for the past 16 years. He serves on the advisory boards at the Seattle ACE chapter and North Dakota State University, Architecture department, and teaches BIM classes at the University of Washington, seeking opportunities outside of work to make a difference in people’s lives. Casey’s interest in affordable housing and equity has propelled him to swing hammers at Habitat for Humanity and Rebuilding Together. He additionally volunteers at Facing Homelessness, The Block Project, and Seattle Architects Without Borders, and serves as a Co-House Captain for the Miller Hull fundraising team. He is truly honored to be receiving this AIA Community Service award.
