The Seattle Fire Department held a ground-breaking ceremony Monday for the new Fire Station 31, at 11302 Meridian Ave. N. in the Northgate neighborhood. It will replace the old station at 1319 N. Northgate Way, which was closed in 2019 due to unhealthy building conditions and obsolescence.
